Seven years into the fiasco of the Bush Administration, everyone these days (outside of the hard-core, cult-like 25-percent base) now agrees that Bush is our Worst President Ever.
Speaking of "The Worst Ever" and cult-like bases, I got to wondering: What is the worst movie ever made?
This is a question open to debate. But I think a good candidate would have to be The Beast of Yucca Flats, a bizarre, incoherent 1961 horror movie directed by Coleman Francis that many "bad film" buffs regard as even more abysmal than Ed Wood's notorious, 1959 film, Plan 9 From Outer Space.
every film is bad in profit based market where the biggest audience group (teenagers and simpletons) cannot be excluded from any desision.
ReplyDeleteI am not sure exactly what william wren is trying to say...maybe I am a simpleton...but I think I may agree. The Hollywood elite is totally out of control. They pander to progressive groups by driving a Prius one day, but they are in a gas guzzling vehicle like a cigarette boat or private jet the next. They are paid far more than the most ridiculous salarys earned by corporate pirates yet they really produce nothing. They are judged by their ability to pretend to be someone else. It is high time some of these supposed do-gooders had a comeuppance. There should be a special tax on overpaid actors to bring their salaries into line. Their income should be based on the average US wage considering most of them are just high school dropouts and prom queens. I think that would bring a real sense of fairness back to Hollywood, and it would drive out some of the richest players in the business. The restructuring of their compensation to make it closer to the middle class paying their bills would also give new opportunities to those struggling to make it in the business. Screw the SAG. They only produce garbage these days anyway.

Yeah, Hollywood: it's nothing but a bunch of flaming Libs: Bruce Willis, Ronald Reagan, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Fred Thompson, Charlton Heston, John Wayne, etc.
And that's just the actors---we all know that producers and the behind-the-scenes money people in Hollywood are all out to spread Lib propaganda in their movies. Profit means nothing to these people. After all, they're not in it for the money...they're only in it to spread Liberal ideas.
Which is one reason why all movies these days are Liberal screeds. I mean, take a look at Spider Man or Die Hard or Lethal Weapon----those films were nothing but Liberal propaganda.
The funny thing is, I hear a lot of Cons bitching and moaning about Hollywood. And yet I have yet to see one of them boycott all movies. And yet, this would be the simplest boycott ever. All you'd have to do is stop watching f*cking movies for Chrissakes! We're not talking about a hard-to-do boycott, like giving up beef or milk or some staple of daily living.
Attacking Hollywood (like attacking "the media" or gay marriage or immigrants) is just a diversionary tactic used by the Cons to divert the public's attention away from the people are are really screwing up this nation and looting our Treasury. They're the rich and powerful cronies of Bush; the Top One Percent (who've seen their share of the nation's wealth soar since 1980).
From what I have heard and seen here are some of my worst:
